"You are Invited to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb" πŸ’Œ πŸ’–

Image
Today I was thinking about the parable of the great wedding feast, in Matthew 22.  God is sending out His invitations right now, through His messengers.  We are trying to persuade more people to come and attend the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.  God is preparing something truly amazing for those who love Him!   While some people will accept the invitation, others will not.  Some people won't leave their earthly cares and lives behind to follow Jesus.  But others will give up everything that this world has to offer, for that "Pearl of Great Price." ✨✝️✨ Matthew 22:1-14 πŸ’Œ πŸ’– Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted c...

Earlier this morning I was thinking about "Graduation Day."  And how this is the time of the year when many graduations take place, from schools and universities all over the world.  It is a time to celebrate achievements, kind of like a rite of passage from one stage of life into the next. Many years ago I was led to read a book written by Billy Graham titled, "Hope for the Troubled Heart."   The only thing I remember from that book is how he described this Earth as the schoolroom for Heaven. 🌎 It is a place of learning, growing, and development.  And it is also a place where we have to go through so many tests in life.  Some tests are more difficult to pass than others.  Especially as we continue to move up towards the higher levels of learning. Kind of like what happens to a child.  They begin with kindergarten, learning basic ABC's and 123's.  Developing social skills, and learning how to interact with other children.  Then things get ev...

"God is Rewriting Your Story." πŸŒΏπŸ’•πŸͺπŸ“š "He is Doing a New Thing."

This morning I was thinking about how our lives are an open book to God.  He knows everything about us, from the inside out.  He knows our interests, and what brings us joy.  And He also sees our sufferings, and knows what we have gone through in this life.  He sees us.  And knows us better than even we know ourselves. He is the Creator of the Universe.  And He knows the heart of every creature that He has made. πŸ’– As I was reflecting on the theme of "Being Fully Known to God."  I was thinking about the collection of books that I have downstairs in my little library.  I'm a private tutor, and have lots of children's books downstairs for my students to read. πŸ“š Some of those stories are happy stories.  While others have characters that are going through significant problems and hardships in their lives.  Some stories are sad at first, but have happy endings.  And then there are other stories that start out with bright beginnin...

"The Lord is Near to the Broken Hearted" ❤️ For Those Experiencing Loss. πŸ™

Today I feel led to share a difficult part of my journey.  I feel led to share some of my experiences related to the loss of a loved one.  Hoping that it will also help others to heal, who are going through similar things. The very first time I experienced grief over the passing of a loved one was in the early 1990s, when my dear Aunt Audrey passed away.  She was like a grandmother to me growing up.  She was the neighbour across the street, who gave me the vintage heart-shaped music box that I mentioned in one of my other posts.  Both of my biological grandmothers lived in Manitoba, so I really didn't get to know them as much.  But I spent a lot of time with my Aunt Audrey, and her sweet little beagle dog, Jake. My Aunt Audrey loved animals, as much as I do.  We used to take Jake for walks, and there was also one time when her cousin came over with a litter of kittens.  She invited my family over to see them, and I instantly bonded with a c...

"Jesus Loves You." ❤️ "Healing the Inner Child."

A few days ago, I was thinking about ministry.  I was wondering what my ministry even is.  Then I heard the words, "To be a child of God."  And that is who we are. God doesn't care about what we "do" for a living.  He doesn't look at us according to the world's standards.  We don't have to perform or audition for God.  We don't have to do anything to try and earn His love, or win his approval.  He loves us unconditionally for who we are, and who He made us to be. πŸ’– " Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. " (1 John 3:1-3)   So many of us are dealing with issues related to the healing of our inner child.  Some of us have had difficu...

"A Shepherd's Heart," ♥️ "Lost and Found."

This morning I was led to read a page from one of my devotionals, where it shared a story about a baby deer that was trapped in someone's fence.  The man who owned the property saw a herd of deer emerge from the woods to graze nearby.  But when he looked at the fence, he noticed that baby fawn was trapped, and its mother was missing. He rescued the fawn, and used his mobile phone to take a recording of the fawn's distress cry.  Then he played it loudly over the speaker.  It worked, and drew the mother deer's attention.  She was reunited to her baby fawn, and began to nurse him.  All thanks to this man's gentle shepherding. Our heavenly Father does the same thing with us, and Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He rescues us, loves us, feeds us, and protects us.  And we follow Him because we know His Voice.  We will not listen to the voice of a stranger.  Just like how our beloved pets also recognize our voice, when we call out to them and talk...
