"Golden Harps are Singing" πŸŽΆπŸ’–πŸ”₯πŸ•Š️πŸͺ‰πŸ‘Ό

A few days ago, I had to take a detour while driving, and ended up on an unfamiliar street.  Little did I know that once I turned the corner my eye would catch a glimpse of something new that I didn't even know was there. I saw a monument on the side of the road, of a metal harp.  Seeing that harp there instantly reminded me of some things that God has been teaching me lately about the power of praise and worship.  And it led me to dig a little deeper to discover more treasures too.  The Gift of Music: "The hills are alive, with the sound of music.    With songs they have sung for a thousand years.  The Lord fills my heart with the sound of music.  My heart wants to sing every song it hears." πŸŽΆπŸ’–πŸ”₯πŸ•Š️πŸͺ‰ Lately I have been led to listen to more instrumental harp music.   I can actually hear the frequency of Heaven, whenever I listen to these delightful melodies.   There seems to be a beautiful heavenly sound that comes from t...

"Bloom Where You are Planted" πŸŒΉπŸŒΈπŸŒΏπŸ’•πŸ“

Yesterday I decided to go on an evening walk along the nature trails and saw a lovely pink clover in the middle of the field.  It was the only flower there that had pretty pink colours.  The shape of the blossom, and the joyful colour reminded me of the cotton candy that you can get at a summer fair.  Or a delicious scoop of strawberry ice cream, at an afternoon picnic in the park. It brought back a lot of good childhood memories for me.  We used to collect these types of flowers as kids.  And the sweet smelling nectar reminds me of the fragrance of honey suckles that also grow in abundance around here. I picked up the top flower that blossomed, and left the rest of the plant in the soil, so that it could produce more new flowers on the stem.  I didn't want to uproot the whole plant entirely, otherwise it would damage the new growth.  So I just pruned the top, and left the rest of the plant where it is, to be fruitful and multiply.  Hopeful...

"Stories, Poems, and Parables" πŸ’–πŸ”₯πŸ•Š️πŸ“šπŸͺ

Earlier today, something led me to take out an old binder that I have in my room that is filled up with collections of short stories and poems that I wrote during my university days. When I was in school, I majored in English literature.  And I always loved reading and writing poems and short stories.  I loved to knit these stories and poems together, like a tapestry or a patchwork quilt.  And I know that it was God giving me the ability to write these words down on the pages of my notebook.  There is absolutely no way that I could've accomplished all of these projects on my own, without His help. Jesus is the best story teller.  He is the Author and Finisher of our faith.  And He knew that we all carry a deep innate love for stories.  So that is the method He consistently uses to communicate His teachings.  He often teaches valuable lessons in parables.  " Once upon a time there was a man who scattered seed on the ground." (Mark 4:26...

"Step Out into The Deep" πŸ’–πŸŒŠ "Knowing when to Leave Your Comfort Zone"

Image
A few days ago, I saw a very strange sight while was was out doing some errands.  I saw a man on the sidewalk, walking a cat on a leash!  At first I thought it was a dog, until I looked again to make sure that my eyes weren't playing tricks on me.  But it indeed was a cat.  And it was walking alongside of its owner, just like a little puppy dog! I have never seen a cat walk alongside its owner like that.  And the first thought that came to my mind was, "How on Earth did this man train his cat to walk beside him on a leash like that?" Cats are usually creatures of habit, who don't like to wander too far from their familiar surroundings.  They like to be safe in the comfort of their home turf.  And they tend to panic, if something changes the situation, and they are taken out of their comfort zones.  Even if it is only for a short time. More "Cat Walk" Stories: One time in the past, I decided to take my cat Marmalade on a walk with me.  He like...

"Follow God's Footsteps" πŸ‘£✨✝️✨πŸ“œπŸ’•

"Show me Your ways.  That I may walk with You.  Show me Your ways.  I give it all to You.  The cry of my heart is to love You more.  To live with the touch of Your Hand.  Stronger each day.  Show me Your ways." πŸŽΆπŸ•Š️πŸ”₯πŸ’–   These lyrics from the song, " Show Me Your Ways ," by The Heritage Singers  were on my mind this morning.  And they also connect to the lyrics that I received yesterday from the song, " Don't Dream It's Over ," by Crowded House. "You'll never see the end of the road while you're travelling with Me." πŸ’–πŸŽΆ God is using us as His remnant warriors to chart out this uncharted path, with Jesus as our Captain.  Jesus is the only One who is worthy to open up the scrolls. πŸ“œπŸ—️✨ But as we continue to lean upon Him, and not on our own understanding, He gradually shows us more and more of His heavenly blueprints. Psalm 85:9-13 "Surely His salvation is near to those who fear Him,  that glory may dwell in our lan...

"Let's all Gather at the River" πŸŽΆπŸ•Š️πŸ’–πŸŒˆπŸŒΏπŸŒŠ

Revelation 22:1-5 πŸ’–πŸ”₯πŸ•Š️ And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.   A Walk on an Uncharted Path:   This is where the Lord led me today, along this uncharted path.  It all began with a walk I took along the river bank close to where I live.  There is a nature trail that I like to walk on often.  But the Holy Spirit told me to, "Get up and sta...
