"You are Invited to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb" πŸ’Œ πŸ’–

Today I was thinking about the parable of the great wedding feast, in Matthew 22.  God is sending out His invitations right now, through His messengers.  We are trying to persuade more people to come and attend the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.  God is preparing something truly amazing for those who love Him!

While some people will accept the invitation, others will not.  Some people won't leave their earthly cares and lives behind to follow Jesus.  But others will give up everything that this world has to offer, for that "Pearl of Great Price." ✨✝️✨

Matthew 22:1-14 πŸ’Œ πŸ’–

Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables and said: “The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son, and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding; and they were not willing to come. Again, he sent out other servants, saying, ‘Tell those who are invited, “See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding.” ’But they made light of it and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his business. And the rest seized his servants, treated them spitefully, and killed them. But when the king heard about it, he was furious. And he sent out his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you find, invite to the wedding.’ So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together all whom they found, both bad and good. And the wedding hall was filled with guests.

“But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ For many are called, but few are chosen.”

A Dream:

A few years ago I had a dream where I was handing out heart-shaped cards, that kind of looked like Valentines Day cards. πŸ’– I entered a room, that looked like a church hallway filled up with guests.  There were many people there.  From all walks of life.  I started to hand out those cards, and they all seemed very happy to receive one.  Many said, "Thank you!" and joyfully accepted it.  Some people even gave me a hug.

Then the scene changed when my ex-boyfriend entered the room.  He was wearing black clothing, and smelt like smoke.  I tried to witness to him, but the minute I mentioned the name of "Jesus" it was like a tape recorder stopped working in his mind.  It just didn't register, and he didn't want to hear it.  Then I kept on shouting out, "His grace!  His grace!  His grace!"  But he just wouldn't listen, and couldn't be reached.  Then the dream ended.

As I was pondering the meaning of this dream, I was thinking about this scripture from Matthew 22.  And the person who wasn't wearing a wedding garment.  He wasn't wearing a white robe of righteousness.  In the dream, my ex-boyfriend wasn't wearing a wedding garment.  He didn't welcome Jesus into his life or heart.  He didn't accept the free gift of God's love and grace.  And he didn't allow the blood of Jesus Christ to cleanse him of his sins.  Or the sanctification of the Holy Spirit to transform him into a new creation.

The sad reality is if people don't repent, these ones will hear, "Depart from Me, I never knew you."

Jesus said, "Those who acknowledge Me in front of others will be acknowledged by My Father in Heaven.  But those who deny Me in front of others will be denied by My Father in Heaven."

Hebrews 12:25-29 πŸ”₯πŸ•Š️

"See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.  Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire."

 Revelation 3:20 πŸ’–πŸ”₯πŸ•Š️πŸ’Œ

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."

Jesus is knocking at the doors of our hearts right now.  He is inviting us to have a personal relationship with Him.  He wants to dine with us.  He wants to share the secrets of His Heart with us, and He wants to feed us with the meat of His Word.  Jesus is also preparing a place for us at the banquet table in His Kingdom.  Where we will celebrate and dine with Him for all eternity.  He preparing a place for us in His Kingdom.  And eye has not seen nor ear heard what God has ready for those who love Him.

"Blessed those who come to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb!"

I once listened to a sermon by a televangelist named, Dr. David Jeremiah from "Turning Point Ministries."  He spoke about the two suppers mentioned in the book of Revelation.  One supper is, "The Marriage Supper of the Lamb."

And the other supper is, "The Supper of that Great and Terrible Day," where the birds of the air will gather to eat the flesh of ungodly men who refuse to repent.  This takes place during the final battle, in Revelation 19:17-21.

This pastor made a joke that has always stuck with me.  "We want to be at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.  And we certainly don't want to be the supper!" πŸ˜‚

Jesus is sending out His invitations right now. πŸ’Œ The only question is, will you accept His invitation?
